The "Gold Standard" for Programmable DC Power Supplies w/ Autoranging & Energy Recovery

What MUST you consider when choosing a Programmable DC Power Supply?

What output do you need from your power supply?  How much power should you pay for without over specifying?  What input do you plan to give your supply?  How do you plan to control your power supply?  Where do you intend to install your supply?  Are there other considerations like a bidirectional supply with an included electronic load?  Do I need regenerative capability with the testing I intend to do?

These, and other important questions, will be answered in our comprehensive 8-page guide.

True Autoranging – Advantages for Test

True autoranging voltage and current graphAll EA power supplies provide true autoranging giving full power across a larger operating range to test more devices with just one supply. Autoranging enables the power supply to automatically adapt to higher output voltages when there is a smaller current or handle higher currents when there is a lower voltage. EA’s true autoranging can deliver full power down to 33% of rated output voltage, which is full power over a much wider range than any competing supply.

  • Save budget and space
  • No oversizing supply
  • One supply tests more
  • Versatile for future tests

Regenerative Energy Recovery

Regenerative energy recovery cyclelBoth the PSB Series bidirectional power supplies and the ELR Series regenerative electronic loads can source (provide) or sink (absorb) current and regenerate that current to the local power grid with up to 95% efficiency. The energy efficiency saves electrical costs and runs cooler, making the PSB and ELR a very green solution on top of minimizing investment and test equipment space.

  • Save electricity + HVAC costs
  • Efficiency approximately 95%
  • Quick return on investment
  • Environmentally friendly

Industry Leading High Power Density

EA PSI Conventional Series and PSB Bidirectional Series DC power supplies feature industry leading power density. The PSI/PSB 9000 packs up to 15 kW in a 3U chassis and the PSI/PSB 10000 boasts up to 30 kW in a 4U chassis.

Output voltages range from 60V to 2000V DC with current specifications of 40A to 1000A. EA PSI power supplies can be easily paralleled providing up to 2 MW of power!

The PSI / PSB family of programmable dc power supplies come standard with an arbitrary waveform function generator, swappable digital interface control and built-in test routines for battery test, photovoltaic simulation and MPP tracking, to name a few.

All rackmount series of EA power supplies feature a 5" TFT Gorilla® Glass touch panel display for intuitive control, setup and programming. It will feel as familiar and easy to use as your smart phone!
